Guidelines of the forum:
1. This forum is open to all who love and respect David Ruffin, others and themselves. Please do not post anything that can be considered disgusting, vulgar or offensive. Those topics and pictures will be removed immediately.
Mild profanity or close edits may occur. Harsh profanity will not be tolerated. Please censor your own language or moderators will.
2. User names, avatars and signatures considered offensive are prohibited - they will be removed without warning.
3. Please keep any signature images within 500x200 measurement.
4. Posts-
*NO personal attacks - Leave ims, pms or other messages off of the forum.
*NO derogatory comments between other posters will be tolerated. This includes any insulting remarks in reference to race, religion, gender, sexual preference or political affiliation.
*NO threats or harassment.
*NO mocking other posters.
*NO condescension. You are only an authority on you, keep that in mind.
*Everyone has an opinion and is free to express it. Do not keep at trying to get your point across. Agree to disagree and move on to another topic.
Any Ruffanatic or Spectators behaving this way will be suspended. Any repeat offenders will receive a longer suspension or be banned.
5. Posted questions or issues will be answered and posted on the forum. If the question or issue is meant to be private, make sure it is sent through forum pm.
6. Spam is NOT allowed. Do NOT post direct links to information from posters at other forums, spam or ad-ware/spy-ware. This will result in suspension or banning. Links to public information, topic related, is allowed.
7. Even though most of the information available on various sites and forums these days has been copied, reworded and pasted over and over again, please DO NOT copy material from other sites or forums and post it here at Gentleman Ruffin without stating the source of the information. No hot links are needed, a site name will do nicely.
8. Personal accounts, quotes (not from published or public sources), conversations and stories are all considered personal information. Do NOT post any of that here. It will NOT be tolerated.
9. There is NO need to post just to post. This is NOT a competition for posting per Ruffanatic.
10. Negative posts from Ruffanatics or Spectators will NOT be tolerated.
11. Multiple user names will be deleted. If you forget your password, ask an administrator to reset your password or follow the link on the sign-in screen.
12. If you find a post offensive, report to an administrator. It may be an oversight on our part or a misunderstanding on your part. This is our duty, do not act in that capacity.
13. Please keep threads on topic. The general board (Good Good Times) is for any off topic discussions.
14. Maintain your composure and maturity if a warning is issued on the forum. Topic debates are understood, but permit moderators to perform their duties.
Moderators will use their best judgment to run the forum. Mistakes may occur. If you feel an action is unwarranted, contact an administrator and we will review and make a final decision.
15. Do NOT bombard a moderator in a thread if a warning has been issued. There is NO need to round up your sympathizers or have others lobby with you or for you. Everyone involved will take a break.
